Students used foil to make spaceships that could land on the surface of Oobleck without sinking into it.

Oobleck
We had gooey, messy fun with Oobleck, a non-Newtonian fluid made of cornstarch and water. The students discovered that when you hit it or press on it it acts like a solid, but if you touch it softly it behaves as a liquid. It's both solid and liquid!
